Sailing Satori – Brand Partership
We are Nick and Kelly, the creators of Sailing Satori, a lifestyle blog. We are a young American couple documenting our travels on our sailboat “Satori” through the Caribbean and beyond as well as flying to other destinations in the world. Both having a thirst for adventure, we want to collect experiences while immersing ourselves in different cultures. We also want to educate and inspire others to create and follow their dreams. This is why we’ve decided to share our lives through video, pictures, articles, and social media.
In late 2016 we launched “Sailing Satori” via Facebook and Instagram and began actively documenting our lives as we made some major transitions in our lives from “nine-to-fivers” to full-time travelers. Daily posting to our social media accounts was a great way to document our travels and boat preparation and quickly drew an interested audience. In June of 2017, we posted our first YouTube video and were amazed at the response. We had been collecting video footage for the previous 6 months and this first “Preview” video quickly gained over 1000 subscribers in a 2-week time frame, an impressive number. Less than 2 years later we still have consistent growth in our YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram audience with over 50,000 followers across our social media platforms. In 2019, our goal is to strengthen our web and blog presence while expanding our travel reach.
This journey has been an amazing ride and we have been fortunate enough to work with some amazing brands along the way. We have a highly engaged and captive audience, both in our home country of the United States, but also in Canada and across Europe. The majority of our audience demographics are young to middle-aged couples (26 to 55 years old), mostly double income, who love travel, sailing, outdoor and cultural adventures.
